You will be asked to complete your on-line application form. In the event that you have already submitted an application form for another job you will be prompted with the latest information. You may update it as necessary and add a cv.
The on-line application form consists of the following sections. At the top of the list there is a progression bar which indicates the % of application completion.
Fields marked with an asterisk are compulsory as well as all questions in the "On-line Questionnaire". At least one entry is required in the Education and Language sections.
You can save any information in these sections for later without applying. Under "My Account" you will see the number of submitted applications and/or draft applications. You cannot, however, submit an application unless you have completed all sections.
You may review or submit saved vacancy applications by accessing "Draft Application" under the "My Account" section.
Please have your cv prepared beforehand – preferably in a PDF format (please see below cv attachment recommendations).
If you are submitting a new cv, select "upload a new resume" and then click on "continue". You can browse your files to select your cv, press continue and review the document before finalising this stage.
You have the possibility to replace your uploaded cv at any time before submitting the application. After pressing submit, it is no longer possible to replace the attached cv.
It is possible to save applications as a draft to be completed later. To return to a draft application, click on the "My Applications" hyperlink at the top of the menu bar. This page displays the list of jobs already applied for, jobs saved as drafts and all attachments previously uploaded. Draft applications will have a status of "Not Applied". Click on the application name to open it, complete any missing information and then click on "Submit". It is impossible to change the data or the resume in an application once it has been submitted.
We strongly recommend you to have your attachment file ready before you start the application process. Only one file may be attached to an application. Adding your photo is optional and can be uploaded under "My Applications" section.
The resume must be in English or French and preferably in Acrobat PDF format. Please ensure that it is not an encrypted or password-protected file.
The file name of the attachment should not contain any special characters; only letters A-Z, numbers 0-9 and underscores. The file size may not exceed 500 K.
Should you wish to withdraw or modify your application you will need to address an email to jobs@eib.org indicating your applicant number, job ID and job title.
Personal data submitted are processed in accordance with Regulation (EC) 45/2001 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data.
The Bank receives many requests for information and certain questions recur regularly. Please check if your query can be answered by one of the questions.
