Applicants are selected among the nationals of Member States of the European Union 1. Nationals of the candidate countries whose accession negotiations have started may be also considered 2, although initially for fixed term contracts.
Depending on the nature of the assignment, the EIB may offer either fixed term or indefinite duration appointments.
Appointments are subject to a satisfactory pre-employment medical examination and are confirmed upon completion of a successful trial period.
